Halloween Driving Safety

Halloween Driving Safety

Halloween is right around the corner! The weather is cooler (kind of), the leaves are changing, we're breaking out the scary movies, the costumes, and best of all the candy! Halloween is wonderful but it also has its issues. One of those issues being a whole bunch of people walking the streets at night in dark costumes. Halloween is fun but it's not so fun when you're not safe. Here are some tips on how to stay safe on the streets this Halloween. Watch For Children! This sounds obvious, I know, but it's important. Kids are likely not going to be thinking too much about the carson the road when there is candy to collect and fun times to be had. Don't assume that any pedestrians are going to stop for you. It's safer to stop and allow them to cross. Slow Down There are going to be a lot more people on the streets on Halloween weekend. Drive at least 5 miles below the speed limit, especi ... read more

Less Expensive More Accurate Repair

Less Expensive More Accurate Repair

If you're like me, anything past an oil change is out of my league. At least that's what I thought. I love having a car. I love the freedom it gives me, I love that it allows me to get to where I need (or want) to be. What I don't love is maintaining my car. This is most likely because I didn't really know what I needed to know. I just needed to know the basics. I needed to know how and when to maintain my car. How often should I get an oil change? How soon do I need to replace my tires and how do I know? These are all questions and concerns that I had that stopped me from wanting to deal with it. I wish my car would just go and would always just go regardless of how often I would have it serviced. Unfortunately it's just not that way. Luckily I work at an auto repairshop now and I have people who can help educate me on keeping my car going. So now I can relay that message to you. Here are a few tips on keeping your car in good shape and ensuring that you have a les ... read more

This year Leo & Son joined forces with the Southern CaliforniaGolden Retriever Rescue to raise money for Golden Retrievers in need of a home. The Southern CaliforniaGolden Retriever Rescue's mission is to find loving and nurturing homes for retrievers in needregardless of conditions or circumstances. So it was a pleasure to have some of their dogs join us during the car show. It was a chance for everyone to see how kind and nurturing the dogs are and to give the dogs a chance to find a new home. The car show was a great opportunity to check out some classic diesel cars and it was also just a great time connecting with the community and getting to know some of our neighbors. People of all ages and backgrounds were out on Bellflower Blvd admiring all the details th ... read more

IS IT HOT IN HERE OR IS IT JUST ME?

IS IT HOT IN HERE OR IS IT JUST ME?

Summer is here! It’s time to talk about your vehicle’s air conditioning. Did you know you should service your vehicle’s air conditioning at least once a year? I didn’t!! I thought as long as it was blowing cold it was working and I didn’t need to get is serviced. Wrong! Your vehicle’s air conditioning system should be serviced at least once a year even if it’s blowing cold air. The service is to ensure it keeps running correctly. Do your pets travel with you? A dogs normal body temperature is 100.5 to 102.5 degrees. The inside of you r car can reach up to 160 degrees even with the windows cracked. This would send your pets into heat stroke. As a pet lover I would feel absolutely awful if I sent my pet into heat stroke be ... read more
