What was your first car? My first car that I was cruising around Bellflower in was a 1978 Ford Mustang. Of course, my family owned an auto repair shop, so my grandfather bought me a car out of the wrecking yard. It need a lot of work including replacing the motor and giving it a paint job. I replaced the stock V-6 motor and made it a little more fun! I wished years later I would have shoved a larger V-8 in it… Since it was my first car, big horse power is probably not what I needed….I got enough speeding tickets as it was.
I had a hood scoop put on and a rear spoiler and painted it bright red… again probably not the best choice as far as getting unwanted police attention.I loved that car; it got me though high school. I thought I was “it” when I was driving. Unfortunately, it was one of those cars where you would fix one thing and something else would break. That’s probably why it was in the wrecking yard in the first place. We live and learn I guess, but at least it was a great learning experience for me on how to work on cars.
Leave me a comment about your first car; I want to hear all of your stories, too.
