Tire pressure is important for a number of reasons but today I am going to focus on just one. Take a look at the photo of how tire inflation effects how much of your actual tire is touching the ground. The more tire tread that is touching the ground the more traction you will have. We need all the traction we can get when it starts raining like it did last night. What is the proper tire pressure for my car? On most newer cars the tire pressure is posted on a sticker in the drivers door jam. Just open the drivers door and look for a sticker that says tire pressure. The sticker could be on the door itself or the body side of the door jam. Your owners Manuel will also have the correct tire pressure for your vehicle.
